Come into the world of the Shipwreck Lounge, an old mafioso's bar in Revere Beach, MA, and enter the lives of its motley crew of characters.
Influenced by Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot, this project follows the lives of 3 of the bar's patrons: a proud yet troubled Irishman, a Catholic woman in the throes of addiction, and a wise Italian who manages the bar in all its chaos. All the while, the aloof and ominous Italian drug dealer who owns the place lurks in the subtext.
This multimedia project is the result of two years of immersive documentary storytelling, which began during my junior year at Tufts University while I was a student in the university's Program for Narrative and Documentary Practice, founded and taught by Gary Knight.
